I'm a saver. I've always been a saver. I still have the 1964 Kennedy half dollar that my grandfather gave to me for making straight A's in first grade back in 1969.

My grandfather was a great man who grew up during the Great Depression. He instilled in me the urgency to "save for the unexpected" because he knew first hand, the unexpected would come. I've never forgotten that and that's how I manage my money to this day, which makes Edward Jones a perfect fit. We're both in it for the long haul.
