When I was 19, I enlisted in the United States Navy where I learned there is a deep satisfaction in serving others. After completing my active-duty enlistment aboard the USS Independence (CV62), I returned home and found myself at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN. It was there that I met my wife, Sara, and where my father-in-law who introduced me to my first Edward Jones advisor. After graduating from Indiana State, I served the Lafayette, IN, community as a police officer for 20 years.
