About Rena

I was born and raised in the former Soviet Union, today's Republic of Azerbaijan. I personally witnessed the rocky transition from the communist economy to free market capitalism and subsequent economic growth as it offered more opportunities and freedom.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics and banking from Azerbaijan State Economic University, I was invited by the US government to study for Master of Economics at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
