When I look back upon my childhood in Nanjing, China, I remember often sitting at the foot of both my mother and grandmother’s desks. Each of them was a successful accountant and it meant that my youth was full of looking up to see the numbers and financial information that lined their desks. Even from that young age, the analytical aspects of my family’s work hooked my interest in the financial world and inspired me to take a leap of faith and further my education at a college in America.
