As a little girl growing up, I remember overhearing my dad say, "If only I would have known sooner," when speaking about his retirement savings with friends. I finally asked what he meant; he shared that he felt if someone would have sat him down and taught him a little about saving and investing when he was younger, that he would have started earlier and saved more for his family's future.
