My story begins in Missouri where I grew up splitting time between a single mom (third-grade teacher) and my father (history professor/cattle farmer). After their divorce, my mother worked with a financial advisor to save and invest from scratch. Over time, her sacrifice and discipline taught me the power of a financial strategy. Additionally, when we cut wood, bailed hay and fixed fence posts, my father taught me the lessons of hard physical work and the value of making small improvements every day.
