My father had been a captain on a sardine carrier called the Joyce Marie for the most of his career. Having two parents that worked very hard throughout their lives, neither one ever expected an industry such as fishing to be completely gone from the Maine coast in a matter of years.

It was my parents decline in health that brought me back to the small town of Southwest Harbor, ME, where I was born and raised. Realizing at the time there was no plan in place for the ultimate "end" reinforced by belief in having a financial strategy in place....
