I grew up on a family farm in Monroe County, Iowa. I lived in Des Moines for several years before coming back to the family farm, where I continue to live. My "hands on" farm background of exposure to hard work and goal setting led to a career in agriculture commodities. I began my career at a grain elevator, developed a cash grain business, then commercial elevator storage, then on to hedging and speculative commodity brokering. I advanced to the marketing and administration of managed futures accounts (full discretion), while blending in limited partnership administration.
