John Boylan joined the Edward Jones Research department in 2015 as a senior equity analyst following medical device companies. Today he follows health care companies.
Before joining Edward Jones, John worked for White Pine Capital in Minneapolis as a portfolio manager, analyst and trader. He also has worked for A.G. Edwards, George K. Baum and Co. and Dain Rauscher (now RBC Capital) covering such sectors as health care, industrials, consumer staples, consumer discretionary and information technology.
Before entering the financial services industry, John worked at Northern States Power Co. (now Xcel Energy) in marketing and new product development and at Cummins Engine Co. in marketing and distribution.
John has been quoted and published in various publications, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, National Public Radio and Bloomberg.
John graduated from DePauw University with a bachelor’s degree in communication and earned his MBA from Wake Forest University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of St. Louis.
