Growing up in the Tulsa area, many of my formative experiences were developed through my participation with the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts have a unique philosophy that meetings and camp outs should be youth led and planned as much as possible. You are taught the skills needed to achieve your next rank by those who have done it before you, before eventually passing on those same skills to others. By the time I became an Eagle Scout, I knew I wanted to use the skills I would develop throughout life to educate and help others.
