Edward Jones' website functions are based, in part, on your browser's ability to accept cookie files. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to your hard drive that allow you to more easily navigate a website and customize website features that are updated each time you visit a website. For example, our website uses cookies to help you build a personalized list of stock quotes for you to view.

Cookies also help us track visitors to our website. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You may set your preferences to refuse cookies; however, this may limit your access to some areas of our website and may prevent your use of Edward Jones Online Access.

We may also use, in addition to cookies, pixel tags, web beacons and other similar tracking technologies (“tracking technologies”) to automatically collect information through the Sites.  We may use these tracking technologies to help identify irregular behavior, prevent fraudulent activity and improve security, as well as making it possible for you to save your preferences and help us understand how you interact with our Services.

We also allow third parties (including Google and Meta) to use third-party tracking technologies to collect or receive information about how you interact with our Sites and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide analytics and other measurement services, and to deliver and target advertisements tailored to you. Third parties may also use some of these technologies to assist us in determining if you require assistance or are having problems navigating on our Sites, and this may include technologies that record your interactions with the Sites, including without limitation, your keystrokes, mouse clicks, screen touches, and information about when, how and from where you accessed our Sites.

You may set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. Many web browsers also allow you to block cookies. You can disable cookies from your computer system by following the instructions on your browser or at www.allaboutcookies.org.

We use Google Analytics to evaluate the use of our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and other identifiers to collect information, such as how often users visit a website, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other websites they visited prior to visiting our Sites. For information about Google’s privacy practices, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-US#infocollect. We also use the following Google products: Google Campaign Manager.

d. Do Not Track signals
Industry standards are currently evolving, and we may not separately respond to or take action with respect to any "do not track" configuration you have enabled in your internet browser.

e. Browsers
We may collect certain information from your browser, such as your user agent, media access control (MAC) address, device type, screen resolution, operating system version, and internet browser type and version. We use this information to ensure that our websites function properly and for security reasons.

f. Pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, URL tags or other technologies
These technologies may be used with some of our web pages, mobile applications, digital experiences, and HTML-formatted email messages to measure the effectiveness of our communications, the success of our marketing campaigns, and to record your interaction with our website (such as scrolling, clicks and length of interactions) and other user-related actions. We may also use these technologies to compile statistics about usage and response rates and to help us resolve visitor questions about using our websites.

g. Location tracking
We may collect information about your physical location through our websites and mobile applications. An example includes your physical location when you search for a nearby financial advisor using your mobile device.

h. Other technologies
We may also use additional technologies to capture information for us about your interactions with our websites, mobile applications and digital ads. We use such information to provide, analyze and improve our services. For example, we may analyze your browsing activity and responses to our websites and digital ads to analyze the effectiveness of our advertising and usage of our websites, mobile sites and applications.

We may also collect information about the callers that call our financial advisors through the phone numbers that are monitored by our third-party call-tracking service provider.

Section 3. Links

For your convenience, our websites may contain links to other websites. This does not imply any affiliation with, or an endorsement, authorization, sponsorship or promotion of, a non-Edward Jones website or its owner. Edward Jones accepts no responsibility for the content, products or services provided on linked websites. If you choose to access such non-Edward Jones websites, you do so at your own risk, and you should be aware that those websites are governed by their own terms and conditions and privacy policies.

Section 4. Electronic communications

To improve our service and meet regulatory requirements, Edward Jones may monitor, review or act upon electronic communications you send to us, including email, text and submissions to Edward Jones via webforms located on our website. Email messages sent on the public website are not encrypted.

Section 5. Online advertising

Information collected by our advertising service providers through cookies and other technologies may include browsing behavior, referring sites and your response to advertisements. Data collected in this manner is only used to improve our advertising and deliver a better user experience.

Edward Jones' mobile applications allow you to access your account balances and make financial transactions. This Privacy Policy applies to any personal or other information that we may collect through our mobile applications.

Section 7. Social media websites

Edward Jones participates on social media platforms such as Facebook®, X®, YouTube® and LinkedIn® that enable online sharing and collaboration among users. Any content you post, opinions you express or personal information that you provide to social media providers or send to Edward Jones through the respective platform’s messaging system is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of those social media platforms.

Section 8. Other aggregation websites

Other companies offer aggregation websites and services that allow you to consolidate your financial account information from different sources (such as your accounts with us or with other financial institutions) so that you can view all of your account information through one online location. To do this, an aggregation provider may request access to your personal information, such as financial information, user IDs and passwords. You should use caution and ensure that the aggregator company has appropriate policies and practices in place to protect the privacy and security of any information you provide or to which they are gaining access. We are not responsible for the use or disclosure of any personal information accessed by any company or person to whom you provide your user ID and password.

If you provide your Edward Jones user ID, password or other information about your accounts with us to an aggregation website, we will consider that you have authorized all transactions initiated by the aggregation website using access information you provide, whether or not you were aware of a specific transaction. If you decide to revoke the authority you have given an aggregation website, we strongly recommend that you change your password for our website to ensure that the aggregation provider cannot continue to access your account.

Section 9. Changes to this policy

Edward Jones reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at our discretion and at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to this website.
